How to supply your print files
Feel free to upload your print files for your greeting cards in whatever way best suits you. You can upload them as single pages or spreads, as individual files or as a single combined file. We also recommend uploading files at 300dpi, as anything lower than 100dpi may appear pixelated
The maximum file upload is 2GB. Please contact our team if your file size is larger and we'll help you get your file into the workflow.
You can supply your file as either individual panels or as a “front” and “back” with each panel in the correct position. We advise a quiet area of 3mm near the fold.
Please leave a 3mm bleed and 5mm quiet area for greeting cards. We ask that you avoid putting any important content within this area.
Lamination is available for greeting cards, but only for paper weighted at 170gsm or higher. Any paper lighter than that will curl.
We created YouLovePrint to make professional greeting card printing available to everyone online. As part of the PurePrint Group, we print everything ourselves in the UK on industry leading printing machines. Our team of print experts are committed to achieving the print quality that your greeting cards deserve.
The size you select in our calculator will be the final panel size. So if you order an A5 Half Fold greetings card, each panel will be A5 sized. We do not take an A5 sheet of paper and fold it in half.
We recommend that you only apply a finish to the front of your greetings card. This will ensure that your customers can write on the inside of the card. If you apply a finish to the back as well as the front, they will have difficulty writing on the laminated surface.
For ease of use, we recommend uploading single panels organised within a single PDF file.
For small runs, we tend to print your greetings card on HP Indigos for digital printing and for larger runs of 1,000+ copies, we use Heidelberg Speedmasters for offset litho printing. For more information, please see our plant list.

Nope. You can enjoy full use of our web-to-print platform and customer services without paying a penny. You only pay when you’re absolutely ready to print.
Our web-to-print system accepts most file types. However, we highly recommend a 300dpi high resolution PDF for the best results. Please check your digital proofs prior to printing.
Not yet, but soon. In the meantime, we recommend adding a 3mm bleed area to the outside of your panels and a 5mm quiet area away from the fold line. For more information, visit our print file setup guide.
Yes. Once you upload your artwork files, our online printing system has a greetings card proofing feature to help you check your proofs, flag any issues and ask our customer service team any questions you may have before you send your job into production.
