How to supply your print files
You can send us your art print files in whatever manner suits you. We’ll accept single files for each piece or you can send us a combined file for all the pieces you want to print. For the best results, we recommend uploading your images at 300dpi. Anything lower than 100dpi will appear pixelated.
The maximum file upload is 2GB. Please contact our team if your file size is larger and we'll help you get your file into the workflow.
For all art prints, we require a 3mm bleed as well as a 5mm quiet area. Please refrain from adding any important content in these areas.
If you choose paper weighted at 170gsm or higher for your art print, we can offer lamination. Any paper lighter than 170gsm will curl if we try to laminate.
Ordering Multiple Artworks
Our art printing costs are calculated per artwork design. To order multiple designs, we recommend using our cost calculator to get a price for each quantity of the same design.
For example: You want 100 art prints to sell at Artist Alley, you have 5 designs and you want 20 of each design.
In this example, you would get a price from the art printing cost calculator for 20 and click Add to Cart. This will add 1 order for 20 art prints to your shopping basket. Do this 4 more times. You will have 5 orders, each for 20 art prints in your shopping basket. When you click Proceed and Upload Files, you will be able to upload 1 art file for each of your 5 orders of 20 art prints.
Our system will then combine postage on your entire order before you proceed to payment and send your art prints into production.
If you are creating your artwork digitally, we recommend configuring your art package to 300dpi and selecting CMYK colour before you begin drawing. This will better match with our printing machines to achieve a higher level of art print quality and more accurate colour reproduction.
We created YouLovePrint to make professional art printing available to everyone online. As part of the PurePrint Group, we print everything ourselves in the UK on industry leading printing machines. Our team of print experts are committed to achieving the print quality that your art prints deserve.
Typically, art prints are produced in smaller runs on HP Indigo digital printers for the best colour reproduction. However, for larger print runs (1,000 copies) our system defaults to a Heidelberg Speedmaster offset litho printer, which is far more cost effective. If you are intending to order a longer run of art prints, but would like digital colour reproduction, please contact us.

Our web-to-print system accepts most file types. However, we highly recommend a 300dpi high resolution PDF for the best results. Please check your digital proofs prior to printing
Not yet, but soon. In the meantime, we recommend adding a 3mm bleed area to the outside of your artwork and a 5mm quiet area on the inside of your artwork. For more information, visit our print file setup guide.
Yes. Once you upload your artwork files, our online printing system has an artwork proofing feature to help you check your proofs, flag any issues and ask our customer service team any questions you may have before you send your job into production.
