How to supply your print files

Please upload a separate Giclée print file for each design as a PDF with crop marks or as a high-resolution JPEG.

Because 12 colours are used in Giclée printing, please ensure that your artwork is in the RGB colourspace with a recommended minimum 300dpi resolution.

The maximum file upload is 2GB. Please contact our team if your file size is larger and we'll help you get your file into the workflow.

Please ensure that all fonts are embedded in your PDF or high-resolution JPEG file.

Borders

If you would like to create a border around your artwork, there are 2 methods of achieving this.

1. Select one of the border options.
This will create a border around your artwork to the selected size.
Your artwork will be shrunk down to fit inside the selected border.

For example: If you select an A4 size with a 3cm border, then you upload an A4 sized artwork file with bleed, your final Giclee print will be A4 size with a 3cm border inside of the paper edge. You artwork file will be shrunk by 3cm on all edges to fit within the border.

2. Select no border options.
Include the border as part of your artwork file with bleed and crop marks.

Bleed

If you do not select the border option for your Giclée prints when ordering, we require a 3mm bleed to be added to your artwork file. Please also do this if you are adding a boarder design in your artwork file.

Ordering Multiple Artworks

Our Giclée printing costs are calculated per artwork design. To order multiple designs, we recommend using our cost calculator to get a price for each quantity of the same design. 

For example: You want 100 Giclée prints to sell at Artist Alley, you have 5 designs and you want 20 of each design.

In this example, you would get a price from the Giclée printing cost calculator for 20 and click Add to Cart. This will add 1 order for 20 Giclée prints to your shopping basket. Do this 4 more times. You will have 5 orders, each for 20 Giclée prints in your shopping basket. When you click Proceed and Upload Files, you will be able to upload 1 art file for each of your 5 orders of 20 Giclée prints.

Our system will then combine postage on your entire order before you proceed to payment and send your Giclée prints into production.

Completing your order

Please ensure that you upload artwork in the correct size and that each artwork file you upload contains a single 1 sided Giclée print design. Giclée prints can only be printed on 1 side.

Professional packaging

All of your Giclée prints will be wrapped in white, acid-free tissue and shipped in reinforced cardboard mailers or tubes depending on the quantity of prints that you order.
