Letterhead print file setup information

As with all of our products, we ask that the file is supplied as single individual pages, not double pages.

For sharper images, we advise uploading files at 300dpi. Images lower than 100dpi may appear pixelated.

We ask for a 3mm bleed and a 5mm quiet area on all letterheads. Please do not include any important content within this area.

How to Print Your Letterheads

How to supply your print files

You can send us your letterhead files in whatever manner suits you. We’ll accept single files for each piece or you can send us a combined file for all the pieces you want to print. For the best results, we recommend uploading your images at 300dpi. Anything lower than 100dpi will appear pixelated.

Bleed

For all letterheads, we require a 3mm bleed as well as a 5mm quiet area. Please refrain from adding any important content in these areas.

Lamination

If you choose paper weighted at 170gsm or higher for your letterhead, we can offer lamination. Any paper lighter than 170gsm will curl if we try to laminate.

Letterhead Printing FAQ

Typically, letterheads are produced in smaller runs on HP Indigo digital printers for the best colour reproduction. However, for larger print runs (1,000 copies) our system defaults to a Heidelberg Speedmaster offset litho printer, which is far more cost effective. If you are intending to order a longer run of letterheads, but would like digital colour reproduction, please contact us.

Nope. You can enjoy full use of our web-to-print platform and customer services without paying a penny. You only pay when you’re absolutely ready to print.

Our web-to-print system accepts most file types. However, we highly recommend a 300dpi high resolution PDF for the best results. Please check your digital proofs prior to printing

Not yet, but soon. In the meantime, we recommend adding a 3mm bleed area to the outside of your artwork and a 5mm quiet area on the inside of your artwork. For more information, visit our print file setup guide.

Yes. Once you upload your artwork files, our online printing system has an artwork proofing feature to help you check your proofs, flag any issues and ask our customer service team any questions you may have before you send your job into production.

Yes. Just like posters, letterheads are not exempt from VAT.
